How to Apply for Community Grants
The promise of Susan G. Komen® is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018, Komen Arkansas is investing over $450 thousand to 17 localcommunity programs. The Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment projects for the medically underserved in 67 of Arkansas’ 75 counties. In addition to funding local outreach projects, Susan G. Komen® runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. Since inception, our Affiliate has contributed more than $5 million toward research.
Applications for the fiscal year April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019 will soon be open. Applications will be accepted for breast health or breast cancer screening, treatment, education, or support project in the 67 county service area in Arkansas and 2 county service area in Texas. Projects that specifically address the objectives outlined in the “Funding Priorities” in the application will be given priority.
*Note: All applications must be submitted online through the Komen Grants e-Management System (GeMS): https://affiliategrants.komen.org. The Grants e-Management System (GeMS) is a web-based grant management system for Affiliates of Susan G. Komen to use to receive, review and manage community and small grant applications.
Grants are available for up to one (1) year (April 1 – March 31). The 2018-2019 Request for Application period will be opening soon. Please check back in August 2018.
