Community Grants

Komen Arkansas is the local source for funding breast cancer detection, support and educational awareness in 68 counties in Arkansas and 2 counties in Texas.  Through its 2019-2020 community grants, Komen Arkansas is investing $723,198 in education, diagnosis, treatment and support programs here in our 68 county Arkansas service area and 2 county Texas service area provided by 16 local organizations that serve uninsured or under insured residents in our service areas. Since it was founded in 1992, Komen Arkansas  has invested more than $18.2 million in local breast health agencies and organizations.

The remaining 25 percent of net funds were invested in the Susan G. Komen Research Grants Program managed at the national level. To learn more about Susan G. Komen’s research investment, click here. In 2019, Komen Arkansas was fortunate to be able to invest more than $323,000 solely toward research.
