Each year, sponsorship of the Susan G. Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure® provides the support necessary to fund breast cancer and community education, as well as screening and treatment initiatives throughout our service area to help those in need.
Sponsorship support is critical to our local efforts. When you invest in a Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure sponsorship, you invest in the lives of the people closest to you – the people of your community… your family, colleagues, employees, neighbors and friends. Up to 75 percent of net funds raised stays right here in our eight-county, bi-state service area to support education, screening and treatment programs, and a minimum of 25 percent is contributed to Komen’s national research efforts.

Up to 75% of net funds raised stay in the Arkansas Affiliate service area (63 of the 75 counties in Arkansas) while a minimum of 25% is contributed to ground breaking translational research. Over the last 21 years, Komen Arkansas has contributed over $20 million to local breast health education, screening and treatment programs, and over $4 million to international research.

Media Campaign: The Race is promote in 63 of the 75 counties in Arkansas with numerous television spots, news stories, and promotional race day coverage. Media coverage extends to radio, print and online, reaching hundreds of thousands annually.
Additional Exposure: 65,000 applications/brochures printed and distributed through our service area, 40,000 t-shirts produced for Race Participants. Multiple email blasts to over 65,000 subscribers. Over 26,000 Face Book Followers see daily posts. 1,000 Race posters distributed throughout our service area.

Cause related ads increased their perception that the brand shared their values by a factor of 10, and increased intent to buy by 2X.
